Paneer Tikka in Oven

Tandoori Paneer Tikka

Marinated paneer grilled with vegetables is a great dish to serve as appetizer in a tea party or evening snacks. The recipe is for oven though can be cooked on tawa also. Paneer Tikka is very easy to make which is a low oil/calorie starter. Also called tandoori paneer tikka.

Type of Meal : Mostly for snacks or as starter

Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Cooking Time : 10 minutes

Ingredients for Paneer Tikka

  • Paneer (Cottage cheese) 1 cup
  • Green Bell Pepper/Capsicum 1
  • Onion 2
  • Tomato 1
    (Cut Paneer and Veggies into 1" pieces)

    For the Marinade

  • Thick curd/Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornflour - 2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

    For Garnish

  • Corriander leaves(finely chopped) - 2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice
  • Chaat masala


    Method for Paneer Tikka in Oven

    1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade in a mixing bowl and make a smooth paste out of it, add paneer and all veggies
    2. Refrigerate paneer tikka mixture for an hour
    3. Arrange the paneer tikkas on a skewer or a toothpick and put on a baking dish
    4. Preheat oven to 400 °F
    5. Place the tikkas in the hot oven and roast for 10 minutes
    6. Sprinkle with chaat masala, coriander leaves and lemon juice over the Paneer Tikka and serve as appetizer
